This notice covers what the shop does with information about you and your vehicle. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible, so where a practice has an obvious consequence for you, the consequence is stated instead of being implied by a definition three paragraphs earlier.

01

What is collected, and where it comes from

Most of it comes from you directly, either through the quote form, by email, over the phone or at the counter. That includes your name, telephone number, email address, the vehicle year, make, model and identification, a description of the damage, and any photographs you send. Where a claim is open it also includes the claim number, the carrier, the adjuster contact and the deductible and valuation basis shown on your declarations page.

Some of it is generated here. Intake photographs, moisture readings, tap test findings, frame measurements, the written scope, the parts list and the invoice all become part of a repair file that exists because a repair happened. Standard web server logs record requests to this site, including an address and a browser identifier, which is what any web server records.

  • From you: contact details, vehicle identification, damage description, photographs
  • From a claim: claim number, carrier, adjuster contact, deductible and valuation basis
  • Generated here: intake documentation, measurements, scope, parts list, invoice
  • From the website: standard server request logs
02

Who it goes to, and who it does not

Your carrier sees what a claim requires, which is the scope, the supporting documentation and the invoice. Parts suppliers see what they need to supply a part, which is usually a vehicle identifier and a part reference rather than your name. A sublet vendor doing specialist work on your unit sees what the job requires. Payment processors see what a transaction requires and nothing about the repair.

Nothing is sold. There is no sale of personal information and no sharing for cross context behavioural advertising, and there is no arrangement under which a marketing company receives a list of customers from this shop. If a legal obligation ever compelled disclosure, that would be complied with, and the categories above are the whole of the routine picture.

  • Your insurance carrier and adjuster, where a claim is open
  • Parts suppliers and sublet vendors, limited to what the work requires
  • Payment processors, limited to transaction data
  • No sale, and no sharing for cross context behavioural advertising
03

Photographs of your vehicle

Every job is photographed. That documentation protects you on a claim and it protects us on a dispute, so it is not optional. What is entirely your choice is whether any of it appears publicly. Nothing is published on this site, on a social channel or in a case study without your explicit agreement, and commercial and municipal units are generally excluded from publication as a matter of course.

If you would rather your vehicle never appear anywhere publicly, say so once and it is recorded on the file permanently rather than depending on somebody remembering. Where a plate, a business name or an interior detail would identify you in an image that is otherwise useful, that detail is obscured before anything is published.

04

Cookies, analytics and what this site loads

This site is built as static pages and does not depend on advertising technology to function. No third party advertising pixel is embedded and no cross site tracking identifier is set for marketing purposes. Where aggregate traffic measurement is used it is limited to counting page requests and referrers, which tells us which pages answer a question and which ones fail the reader.

Your browser can block whatever it likes without breaking anything on this site. Navigation, the search field, the calculators and every content page work with scripting restricted, because a page whose text depends on a script is a page that is unreadable to a screen reader having a bad day.

05

How long files are kept

Repair records are retained because California requires a registered repair facility to keep them, and because a repair file is the evidence that settles a question about work done two years ago. That includes the estimate, the authorization, the documentation and the invoice. Keeping them shorter would leave you without the record at exactly the moment you need it.

Enquiries that never became repairs are kept for a shorter period, long enough for you to come back and pick up the conversation without starting over. Server logs are kept for a short operational window. Job applications sent to a department lead stay on file so that leads can revisit them when a bench opens, and you can ask for yours to be removed at any point.

06

What you can ask us to do

California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information held about them, ask for a correction, and ask for deletion. Deletion has a limit worth stating plainly: records the state requires a repair facility to retain cannot be deleted on request while that obligation stands, and a live claim file cannot be deleted while the claim is open. Everything outside those constraints can be.

Requests go to the shop email or to the counter during posted hours. You will not be treated differently for making one, and no request requires an account, a portal or a form. A person reads it and replies, which is the same way every other message to this shop is handled.

  1. Email the request, stating what you want: access, correction or deletion.
  2. Identify the vehicle or the repair order so the right file is found.
  3. Expect a reply within a reasonable period during posted business hours.
  4. Where a legal retention obligation blocks deletion, the reason is stated in writing.

Appendix

Appendix: questions and answers

Do you sell or share customer information with marketing companies?
No. There is no sale of personal information and no sharing for cross context behavioural advertising. The only parties who receive anything are your carrier where a claim is open, parts suppliers and sublet vendors limited to what the job needs, and payment processors limited to the transaction itself.
Could photographs of my vehicle end up on your social channels?
Only if you agree explicitly. Every job is documented photographically because a claim and a dispute both depend on it, but publication is separate and requires your say so. Commercial and municipal units are generally excluded outright, and identifying details such as plates and business names are obscured before anything goes out.
Can I have my repair file deleted after the work is finished?
Partly. Records that a registered California repair facility is required to retain cannot be deleted while that obligation applies, and a claim file cannot be removed while the claim is live. Anything outside those constraints, including marketing contact details and photographs held for publication, can be deleted on request.
Does this website load advertising trackers?
No advertising pixel is embedded and no cross site marketing identifier is set. Traffic measurement is limited to counting page requests and referrers so we can see which pages actually answer a question. The site is static, so blocking scripts in your browser does not stop you reading anything.
