# Entegra Coach Repair: Jayco Engineering on Spartan Rails

> Entegra is **Jayco's diesel division**, which puts Indiana parts support behind a coach on Spartan rails. Repairs are paint led, because these units wear **layered full body finishes** rather than decals.

## How is an Entegra coach repaired?

Entegra repair combines Spartan chassis procedure with Middlebury, Indiana parts support and heavy refinish work. Anthem, Aspire and Cornerstone owners near Rancho Santa Margarita bring coaches to our Yorba Linda booth, where the paint scheme is mapped and blended rather than patched.

- Cornerstone rides the Spartan K3 tag axle chassis
- Aspire and Anthem use Spartan K2 rails
- Emblem and Vision are Ford F53 gas coaches
- Full body paint means blending, not ordering a decal kit

### Key facts

| Item | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Division of | Jayco, Middlebury, Indiana |
| Chassis | Spartan K2 and K3, Ford F53 |
| Roof | One piece fiberglass |
| Refinish rate | $210 per hour (Paint supplies at $55 per paint hour) |
| Estimate | $150 written scope (Credited in full against an authorized repair) |

Entegra occupies an unusual position: premium coach construction with the parts backing of a very large towable manufacturer. That combination is good news in a repair, because the Indiana operation that supports a Jay Flight also answers the phone about your Anthem.

What it does not change is the finish. These coaches wear layered full body paint, and that is where the labor sits. Our first job on an Entegra is documenting the scheme accurately enough to rebuild it, before a single panel gets sanded.

## Spartan rails and where each model sits

Cornerstone is the flagship on a Spartan K3 with a tag axle. Aspire and Anthem use the K2. Reatta and the mid range coaches vary by year, and Emblem and Vision drop to a Ford F53 gas platform. Accolade and Esteem are Super C builds where a factory truck cab sits ahead of an Entegra house.

Those distinctions decide the structural approach. Tag axle coaches get axle relationship measurements after a rear impact. Super C builds mean two parts channels on one estimate, one for the truck cab and one for the coach. Gas coaches return to conventional F53 rail procedure with body mount anchoring.

## Layered finishes and the cost of a small chip

The reason a stone bruise on a Cornerstone costs more than a comparable bruise on an entry level coach is layer count. Rebuilding the finish means restoring each stage in the right order, over an area wide enough to blend, then clearing to a natural break. Skipping a stage produces a repair that reads correctly in the shop and wrong in daylight.

We map the scheme with photographs and measurements, spray out cards for each stage, and check them against the coach rather than against a formula sheet. Where a graphic transition crosses the damage, the transition is re cut from measurements taken off the vehicle so the geometry matches the untouched side.

## One piece fiberglass roofs and branch strikes

The Entegra roof is a single fiberglass panel rather than a membrane, which behaves better under foot traffic and worse under a point load. A branch on a canyon road does not tear it, it punctures it, and the puncture usually cracks outward along the laminate. Water then travels under the roof skin rather than pooling where it entered.

Repair is laminate work from both sides where access allows, followed by refinish. We map moisture before closing anything up, because sealing a wet core produces a delamination problem next season. Rancho Santa Margarita owners see this most often after wind events that drop limbs over storage lots.

## What Entegra shares with Jayco and what it does not

Component supply overlaps heavily. Lippert slide drives and leveling, Dometic and Furrion appliances, Carefree and Solera awning hardware are all bought at group scale and are quick to source for either brand. Interior hardware frequently crosses over too.

Exterior structure does not. An Entegra cap, skirt panel or compartment door is specific to the coach line and its mold, and no Jayco towable part substitutes. Owners occasionally arrive with a part number from a sister product and it does not fit, so we verify against the serial plate before anything is ordered.

- Shared: slide drives, leveling, appliances, awning hardware
- Not shared: caps, skirts, compartment doors, glass
- Verification: serial plate before any structural order

## Rates, deposits and our standing

Refinish and body work bills at $210 per hour. Slide, leveling and electrical work bills at $260 per hour. Diagnostic time on a fault nobody has named is $285 per hour with a one hour minimum, credited against the repair if you proceed. Parts over $100 carry 35 percent markup, and special order items are paid in full at order.

OCRV Center is independent and holds no agreement with Entegra Coach or Jayco. We do not represent either company. All work is performed at the Yorba Linda facility, and for a 45 foot coach that is a practical requirement rather than a policy, since the booth and the rack are the reason the job is possible at all.

## Questions and answers

### How many paint stages are on an Entegra Cornerstone?

Enough that the sequence matters more than the color. These coaches carry a layered base, graphic and clear build, and a repair has to rebuild each stage in order. We document the stack before sanding, then confirm each layer with a spray out card checked against the coach in daylight.

### Are Entegra and Jayco parts interchangeable?

Components yes, structure no. Slide drives, leveling hardware, appliances and awning parts are bought at group scale and cross over freely. Caps, skirt panels, compartment doors and glass are specific to the coach mold. We check part numbers against the serial plate before ordering anything structural.

### How much downtime should I expect on an Anthem after a side impact?

Body work and refinish on a full body paint coach is measured in weeks, not days, and the paint schedule usually governs. Parts freight adds to it when a compartment door or skirt panel is involved. We give a day count at authorization and update it the moment a supplier moves a date.

### Can a one piece fiberglass roof be repaired in a section?

Yes. A puncture is ground back to sound laminate, rebuilt with cloth and resin from both sides where access allows, then refinished. Replacing an entire roof panel is rare and expensive. What we will not do is close up a wet core, because that turns a repair into next season's delamination.

### Does an Accolade Super C use the same body build as an Anthem?

The house construction is similar in concept but the front half is completely different. An Accolade has a factory truck cab ahead of the coach, so cab damage follows the truck maker's procedure and parts channel while the house behind it follows Entegra's. We scope those separately on one file.
